Darmstadt Moves Towards Closure 2008
Darmstadt Inactivation Ceremony 5 August 2008

The HAMHS was invloved in a variety of activities in the pursuit of our mission. We have been invloved in American Civil War, World War 1 and World War 2 reenactments. We were dedicated to supporting the various USAG Darmstadt community events that we were asked to participate in. We had an active museum that tried to display historic uniforms, equipment and other material from the earliest days of American military history. In doing so, we tried to show how close the ties are to our host nation of Germany, whether as an enemy or as allies. We have participated in archeological digs at various European battlefields. We restored historical vehicles and weapons for display and other activities. The photos on this page are just a little of what we were been involved in since our founding 1990.
