This museum was founded by a group of dedicated German and American aircraft enthusiasts. The VMM became associated with the Euler group when the museum was moved to Griesheim. At the time they were a struggling club trying to find  a place for their own museum. Through hard work and dedication, they were able to obtain the use of the old airfield control tower, putting together a fantastic exhibit that tells the history the first airfield in  Germany. Those of us who worked with the August Euler group are very proud of our association with them and seeing the success they have had with their goal of having a museum that adds a significant venue for aviation history.
